Financial Controller – Chartered Accountant (10+ yrs)

About the role

The Finance Controller will head the Finance and Accounts function, delivering accurate financial reporting, strong controls, statutory compliance and cash‑flow management to enable informed business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end Finance and Accounts operations, including General Ledger, AP, AR, Fixed Assets and period‑end closing.
• Prepare and review financial statements, MIS reports, budgets, forecasts and cash‑flow projections.
• Manage working capital, banking relationships, fund utilisation, reconciliations and payment processes.
• Ensure compliance with GST, TDS, Income Tax, Companies Act, accounting standards and internal controls.
• Coordinate internal and statutory audits and close audit observations promptly.
• Drive budgeting, variance analysis, cost optimisation and financial planning.
• Provide financial analysis and business insights to support strategic decisions.
• Strengthen finance processes through automation, ERP controls and continuous improvement.
• Lead, mentor and develop the Finance and Accounts team.

Required profile

• Qualified Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 10 years of relevant Finance and Accounts experience.
• Proven expertise in financial controlling, reporting, budgeting, taxation, audits and cash‑flow management.
• Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, leadership and stakeholder‑management abilities.
• Experience in EPC, infrastructure, manufacturing or renewable energy sectors is preferred.
