Financial Controller – Audit & Insurance Management

About the role

The Financial Controller will lead the controllership function for a group of companies, focusing on audit, financial reporting and insurance management. This role combines strategic financial oversight with hands‑on coordination of insurance policies and claims, ensuring compliance and cost efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the controllership function, including financial reporting, budgeting and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
• Manage and coordinate insurance policies across group companies to ensure adequate coverage and regulatory compliance.
• Negotiate terms, premiums and claims processes with insurance providers and brokers.
• Oversee preparation of accurate financial statements and reports for timely and compliant submissions.
• Develop and implement robust internal controls and processes to improve operational efficiency and mitigate financial risks.
• Collaborate with departments to ensure proper allocation and management of insurance‑related costs.
• Monitor insurance claims, ensure timely follow‑ups and resolve issues efficiently.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end closing processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Conduct regular reviews of insurance policies to identify improvement opportunities and cost savings.
• Provide actionable financial insights and recommendations to senior management for strategic decision‑making.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in controllership or finance, with proven experience managing insurance for group companies.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting principles, regulatory compliance and risk management.

Required skills

• Excellent negotiation skills with insurance providers and brokers.
• Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle.
