Financial Control Director – Mumbai

About the role

Vistra is seeking a Financial Control Director to lead the financial integrity of a single EME country. Based in Mumbai, you will own the country’s balance sheet, statutory compliance, regulatory obligations and external audit cycle while advising senior leadership on strategic financial matters.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with local statutes and IFRS.
• Reconcile general ledger and management accounts, ensuring zero unexplained variances.
• Document all financial disclosures for full traceability.
• Create and present management information packs highlighting KPIs, deviations and actionable insights.
• Act as finance representative to the country board, senior leadership and local managing director, embedding finance in commercial decisions.
• Conduct variance analysis (budget vs. actual vs. prior year) and provide strategic commentary.
• Manage corporate tax compliance, treasury activities and regulatory affairs for the country.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a financial controller or equivalent for a country or business unit.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross‑functional teams and drive process optimisation.
• Experience managing external audit cycles and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent analytical skills with a focus on delivering strategic financial insight.
