Financial Analyst – Trade Support (FX & Treasury)

About the role

The Trade Support team at American Express seeks a Financial Analyst to manage post‑trade treasury operations for FX derivatives and intercompany loan transactions. You will work closely with Treasury, Accounting, Regulatory Reporting and external banking partners to ensure accurate execution, governance and risk management.

Key responsibilities

• Validate, confirm and settle FX trades while ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
• Oversee accounting and reporting for FX, derivatives and intercompany loans in line with GAAP and corporate standards.
• Perform daily Treasury Management System (TMS) tasks, including GL interfaces, reconciliations, transaction monitoring and issue resolution.
• Manage the full lifecycle of intercompany loans – setup, interest accruals, settlements, accounting and analytics.
• Support regulatory reporting obligations such as EMIR and DTCC.
• Conduct post‑trade analysis, develop KPIs and provide financial analytics to improve operational effectiveness.
• Lead trade investigations and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Collaborate with banks, Treasury teams and business units to support financing activities.
• Drive automation, process simplification and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in finance; treasury experience is a plus.
• Qualified accountant or equivalent finance certification (CA, ACA, ACCA, CPA, M.Com, etc.).
• Degree in Finance or Accounting is advantageous.

Required skills

• Treasury Management System (TMS) operations.
• General Ledger (GL) interface handling.
• Regulatory reporting knowledge (EMIR, DTCC).
• Financial analytics and KPI development.
