Financial Analyst II – Cash Accounting (FOAA)

About the role

The Financial Analyst II will partner with Global Cash Accounting teams to launch, operationalize, and maintain Amazon's payments infrastructure across multiple entities, platforms, and marketplaces. This position blends accounting expertise with technology‑driven automation to support a high‑growth business.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement cash accounting methods; perform financial reporting, monthly P&L analysis, forecasts and ad‑hoc modeling.
• Present strategic recommendations to senior management and facilitate data‑driven business reviews.
• Ensure accounting principles, internal controls, policies and procedures are documented and operating effectively.
• Own end‑to‑end Bank‑to‑GL reconciliation across entities and currencies, meeting daily match thresholds and SLA requirements.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of reconciling items and maintain audit‑ready control frameworks.
• Collaborate with technology teams on data quality standards for bank‑statement ingestion pipelines.
• Support cross‑functional initiatives, coordinate with global accounting teams, and assist with User Acceptance Testing.
• Design and deploy AI/ML‑powered workflows to automate high‑volume accounting tasks and act as product owner for automation initiatives.
