Finance Manager – Shipping & Logistics

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the finance function for Sky Ocean Shipping LLC’s operations in Malappuram, ensuring accurate financial reporting, effective cash management, and compliance with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day financial operations, including accounts payable and receivable.
• Monitor cash flow and prepare periodic financial statements and management reports.
• Develop and manage budgeting, forecasting and cost‑analysis processes to support decision‑making.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and internal control frameworks.
• Coordinate with banks, external auditors and other stakeholders.
• Provide financial insights for strategic initiatives, review contracts from a financial perspective, and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• Strong financial accounting and reporting experience, including general ledger management and month‑end closing.
• Proven budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis capabilities.
• Knowledge of tax regulations and internal controls relevant to the logistics and shipping industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; professional certifications (CA, CMA, CPA) are a plus.
• Prior finance experience in shipping, logistics or related sectors, preferably within the GCC market.
