Finance Controller – Port Operations

About the role

The Finance Controller will lead the financial planning, analysis and reporting for Mundra & Tuna Ports. This senior position ensures robust financial controls, supports strategic investment decisions and drives operational efficiency across the port operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead preparation, consolidation, review and finalization of annual OPEX and CAPEX budgets, ensuring timely approvals and periodic reviews.
• Monitor and analyse monthly, quarterly and annual revenue, cost and profitability performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
• Provide financial evaluation and decision support for capital expenditure proposals and investment decisions.
• Prepare and circulate monthly MIS, coordinating financial performance reviews with business stakeholders.
• Oversee preparation, analysis and review of financial statements in line with applicable accounting standards.
• Analyse expenses, receivables and working‑capital trends, driving corrective measures for operational efficiency.
• Manage cash flows, liquidity and short‑term investment decisions to optimise returns.
• Ensure compliance with internal audit observations, strengthen internal controls and complete statutory audits within defined timelines.
• Maintain adherence to all statutory and regulatory compliances, including Service Tax/GST and EPCG obligations.
• Lead, coach and motivate the finance team through effective communication and performance management.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in Finance & Accounts, preferably in large organisations or infrastructure/port settings.
• Strong exposure to balance‑sheet finalisation, statutory audits and regulatory compliances.
