Finance Controller – Plant Operations

About the role

The Finance Controller – Plant Operations is responsible for delivering accurate financial analysis, reporting, and control across all manufacturing sites. You will partner with plant teams to drive cost efficiency, support strategic decisions, and ensure compliance with internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and analyse monthly variable cost by SKU for all plants, including variance analysis versus budget, forecast, standard cost and prior year.
• Conduct monthly overhead analysis to identify operational efficiencies and manage exceptional costs.
• Maintain, review and monitor CAPEX budgets and actual spend.
• Collaborate with plant teams on World Class Manufacturing (WCM), commercial activities and digitisation projects to improve processes and productivity.
• Liaise with the Finance Shared Services Centre (FSSC) and other functions to optimise payables and drive digital finance initiatives.
• Optimize working capital and provide actionable financial insights to plant leadership.
• Oversee fiscal incentive activities, cost‑optimization opportunities and the creation of common reporting structures and dashboards.
• Perform monthly balance‑sheet reviews in BlackLine, and monthly AP/AR reviews.
• Support statutory and group audits, manage fixed assets and ensure compliance with corporate internal‑control standards.
• Conduct periodic control reviews and risk assessments.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with a focus on cost control and financial performance.
• Experience in manufacturing finance or plant operations finance.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and influence plant leadership.
• Knowledge of internal‑control frameworks and audit processes.
