Finance Controller – Intangibles, Opex & Supply Chain

About the role

The Finance Controller will lead end‑to‑end financial analysis and reporting for intangibles, operating expenses, inventory and supply‑chain functions within Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories. The role ensures accurate financial control, supports strategic decisions and provides insight to senior leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct periodic impairment assessments of intangible assets and goodwill.
• Validate financial aspects of in‑licensing and out‑licensing deals, review agreements and track milestones.
• Oversee month‑end close for new product launches, ensuring proper capitalization.
• Review monthly Opex budget versus actuals, analyze variances and provide clear explanations.
• Prepare inventory and cost of goods sold (COGS) reporting, including COPE metrics.
• Produce senior leadership reports and dashboards on financial performance.
• Support budgeting, cost‑improvement initiatives and P2P efficiency metrics.
• Manage secretarial compliance activities and respond to ad‑hoc front‑office finance requests.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial analysis, reporting and control.
• Knowledge of intangible asset impairment and goodwill accounting.
• Familiarity with licensing‑deal finance and milestone tracking.
• Ability to analyze Opex budgets, variances and inventory cost structures.
• Strong communication skills to present findings to senior management.
• Detail‑oriented with ability to work under month‑end deadlines.
