Finance Controller, Emerging Asia

About the role

The Finance Controller for Emerging Asia will report to the Finance Director, APAC and oversee all finance and accounting functions across India, West Asia and South‑East Asia for the Healthcare and IT divisions. The role ensures compliance, accurate reporting, and efficient cash and payroll management in a multi‑country environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing, journal entry review, and account reconciliations while ensuring US GAAP, Ind AS and SOX compliance.
• Manage tax compliance, including GST, TDS, income‑tax returns, and support external audits (transfer pricing, statutory, tax).
• Oversee treasury activities: cash‑flow monitoring, bank guarantee setup, wire‑payment approvals and banking relationships.
• Direct payroll processing, ensuring correct employee benefits, PF contributions and tax deductions.
• Supervise accounts payable and receivable in the TCS iON system, including invoice validation, expense reimbursements, credit limits and collection monitoring.
• Prepare statutory financial statements, lead local audits and produce analytics for budgeting, sales forecasts and monthly performance reviews.
• Manage a team of one Assistant Manager, one Senior Accountant and one Accountant, driving performance and development.

Required profile

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS) and SOX controls.
• Hands‑on experience with GST, TDS, income‑tax filing and transfer‑pricing audits.
• Proven treasury and cash‑management expertise, including bank guarantee and wire‑transfer processes.
• Experience in payroll administration, PF regulations and employee benefit calculations.
• Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable processes and the TCS iON accounting platform.
• Ability to lead a small finance team and coordinate cross‑functional stakeholders.
