Finance Controller (CA) – Startup

About the role

We are a fast‑growing startup looking for a qualified Chartered Accountant to take charge of our financial backbone. The Finance Controller will be responsible for end‑to‑end financial reporting, consolidation across entities, and ensuring disciplined tax compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Own monthly financials and consolidation across entities in accordance with IndAS.
• Drive month‑end close with accurate, well‑reconciled books.
• Lead all statutory, internal and tax audits, coordinating closely with auditors and CA firms.
• Prepare timely and accurate leadership and board reports.
• Strengthen internal controls and build robust finance processes.
• Manage banking relationships and day‑to‑day coordination.
• Oversee tax compliance for direct and indirect taxes across all geographies.
• Coordinate tax filings, review consultant submissions, and manage tax audits.
• Provide clear recommendations on tax matters and ensure timely compliance.

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (CA) with at least 4 years of relevant experience.
• Experience in a Big 4 firm or close work with Big 4 auditors/consultants is preferred.
• Strong understanding of IndAS and financial consolidation.
• Proven track record of handling audits end‑to‑end.
• Good grasp of Indian direct and indirect tax regulations.
