Finance Controller – Build Finance Engine for B2B Quick‑Commerce Startup

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Finance Controller to build and own the finance engine of an early‑stage B2B quick‑commerce platform. Reporting directly to the founders, you will shape the finance function from the ground up and act as a strategic business partner as the company scales.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end controllership, accounting, month‑end close and statutory compliance across all Indian and overseas entities.
• Transition accounting from an outsourced model, hire and develop a lean finance team, and implement robust internal controls and SOPs.
• Partner with founders on cash‑flow forecasting, burn monitoring and working‑capital optimisation, including managing banking facilities.
• Drive unit‑economics analysis for dark‑store operations, building store‑level P&L, contribution margins and profitability pathways.
• Evaluate, select and implement ERP and related tooling for accounting, invoicing, inventory and multi‑entity consolidation.
• Collaborate with operations, commercial and finance stakeholders to streamline order flows, pricing and cost structures.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of progressive finance experience, preferably in high‑growth e‑commerce or quick‑commerce environments.
• Proven track record of building finance functions and leading small finance teams.
• Strong partnership mindset with founders/leadership and ability to influence cross‑functional decisions.
• Deep understanding of Indian GAAP, statutory compliance and multi‑entity accounting.
