Finance Business Controller – West & North

About the role

The Finance Business Controller for the West & North region will act as the guardian of the profit and loss statement, ensuring financial health across the entity, country, and shipment levels. You will partner with Operations and Finance teams to drive transparency, mitigate risk, and support strategic decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor gross profit accuracy from entity level down to individual jobs and shipments.
• Coordinate upstream improvements with FINOPS, ensuring correct material code usage.
• Validate monthly accruals and overall financial results.
• Maintain file‑management controls and enforce revenue‑assurance standards.
• Oversee operational processes to guarantee timely, accurate revenue and cost data entry.
• Review and correct deactivated or incorrect material codes in collaboration with the MMD team.
• Perform risk and compliance assessments per the RICC Manual and support audit resolution.
• Identify process gaps, prevent P&L inaccuracies, and mitigate financial exposure from new services.
• Partner with CX, FINOPS, and Area Management to address revenue or cost leakages and improve under‑performing businesses.
• Execute ad‑hoc duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Chartered Accountant or MBA qualification.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• Strong knowledge of local tax rules and compliance.
• Proven experience in financial analysis and financial modelling.
• Working knowledge of warehouse business is an advantage.
