Finance Analyst

About the role

UBS is seeking a Finance Analyst to join its Global Banking Product Control team in Pune. The role involves daily and monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, and ensuring accurate accounting of product‑related transactions.

Key responsibilities

• Review and produce daily/monthly P&L and balance‑sheet reports.
• Validate T0 vs T1 data and provide commentary on drivers and variances.
• Perform P&L and balance‑sheet checks to ensure correct reporting at month‑end.
• Execute reconciliations, identify breaks, and resolve issues promptly.
• Maintain adherence to control frameworks and reporting standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in product control.
• University degree or equivalent qualification, preferably CA or MBA.
• Strong knowledge of double‑entry accounting and the impact of transactions on P&L and balance sheet.
• Proactive, change‑focused mindset with solid problem‑solving abilities.
• Team player who can collaborate effectively within a global environment.

Required skills

• MS Office – Excel (basic to intermediate) and PowerPoint.
• Strong presentation and written communication skills.
