Field Services Engineer – Railway Projects

About the role

The Field Services Engineer will support post‑tender activities for Indian Railway projects, acting as the main liaison between stores, finance and technical officials. The role involves on‑site installation, commissioning, testing and warranty support for railway supplies and related products.

Key responsibilities

• Install, commission and test railway supplies and related equipment.
• Prepare joint inspection reports and inspection check‑sheets.
• Perform on‑site warranty repairs and testing of DV and other KB products.
• Communicate with customers regarding maintenance agreements (MA) and delivery performance (DP).
• Collect payments, submit SD money and ensure timely execution of purchase orders.
• Submit bill of quantities (BQ) to generate spare‑parts business.

Required profile

• 3 to 7 years of experience in field service or railway product support.
• Familiarity with railway products and business processes.
• Strong customer orientation and ability to provide status updates.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Reliability in planning and execution, with good analytical ability.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint.
• General competence with MS Office tools.
