Field Service Engineer – North India

About the role

Varian Medical Systems is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support oncology equipment across North India. The role involves ensuring that customers’ medical devices operate efficiently through on‑site service, maintenance, and upgrades.

Key responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of VMS oncology equipment within the assigned territory.
• Execute preventative maintenance, installations, and upgrades according to VMS guidelines.
• Manage service schedules, respond to emergency breakdown calls, and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
• Maintain accurate field service reports, expense records, and documentation as required.
• Develop and sustain strong customer relationships through clear written and verbal communication.
• Escalate complex incidents to senior technical staff when necessary.

Required profile

• Ability to obtain and retain full client site access and meet all vendor credentialing requirements.
• Strong technical understanding of medical equipment and the ability to interpret technical documentation.
• Professional communication skills for interaction with customers, sales, and internal teams.
• Effective time‑management and territory‑management capabilities.
