Fashion Designer

About the role

The Plus Size Store, a leading D2C women’s ethnic wear brand in India, is looking for a creative Fashion Designer to shape its plus‑size collections from concept to final production.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research and trend analysis to identify emerging fashion directions and consumer preferences.
• Collaborate with the design team to develop concepts, create mood boards and sketch original apparel and accessory designs.
• Produce technical drawings, patterns and specifications ensuring accurate sizing, fit and construction.
• Select fabrics, colors, patterns and textures that meet aesthetic, durability and cost criteria.
• Oversee prototype development, garment fittings, quality control and cost analysis.
• Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers and fabric manufacturers, communicating technical requirements clearly.
• Prepare cost sheets and product lists for each design.

Required profile

• Passion for fashion, especially plus‑size ethnic wear.
• Strong eye for detail and ability to translate trends into wearable designs.
• Excellent communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
• Ability to work in a fast‑growing environment and meet production deadlines.
