Faculty Member – Civil Society Organisation Development & Program Management

About the role

The School of Continuing Education and University Resource Centre (SCE-URC) seeks an experienced practitioner to join its faculty team, focusing on civil society organisation development and program management. The role involves designing, delivering, and continuously improving high‑impact training programmes for a diverse set of stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and deliver training programmes aligned with stakeholder needs, including curriculum outlines, session plans and implementation strategies.
• Collaborate with subject‑matter experts and internal teams to co‑create learning experiences and customise materials.
• Orient visiting faculty and organisational leaders, lead capacity‑building sessions and foster Communities of Practice.
• Monitor programme effectiveness, address content gaps and ensure timely submission of participant data and reports.
• Identify emerging capacity needs, initiate new course development and expand the SCE‑URC portfolio.
• Contribute to broader capacity‑development initiatives across the development ecosystem.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in any discipline, preferably an MBA or a degree in rural management.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years in senior management overseeing finance, HR, governance and compliance.
• Proven experience founding or scaling organisations and mentoring entrepreneurs.
• Demonstrated ability in compliance, financial management and fundraising (preferred).
• Experience managing large‑scale implementation projects and multidisciplinary teams.
• Capability to design and deliver curriculum in both English and Hindi for management‑level civil society functionaries.
• Strong analytical, reflective and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Hindi.
