Faculty – Education Governance (Full‑time)

About the role

Azim Premji University is seeking full‑time faculty members to teach Education Governance in its MA Education programme at the Bhopal campus. The role involves delivering postgraduate courses, mentoring students, and contributing to the university’s interdisciplinary academic environment.

Key responsibilities

• Teach postgraduate courses on school systems, administration, policies, regulation, financing and stakeholder interactions in India.
• Cover topics such as school effectiveness, leadership theories, school culture, and organisational dynamics.
• Mentor and support students, fostering critical thinking, reflection and dialogue.
• Prepare students for extended field practice and supervise their projects.
• Participate in interdisciplinary programme design, institutional processes and culture building.
• Engage in research activities with university support.

Required profile

• Academic background in Education Governance or substantial practical experience in the field.
• Ability to teach from a sociological‑institutional perspective with focus on human development aims of education.
• Strong understanding of Indian school systems, policies, programmes and their implementation.
• Experience in mentoring students and facilitating classroom discussion.
