External Reporting Analyst – Controller

About the role

The External Reporting Analyst – Controller will oversee the preparation, validation, and filing of financial and regulatory reports. This role ensures that balance‑sheet items, legal‑entity structures, and quarterly results are accurately captured and compliant with corporate and regulator requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate, review and analyse quarterly financial data, performing variance analysis and ensuring completeness.
• Maintain the firm’s legal‑entity hierarchy, including ownership chains, parent‑subsidiary relationships and organizational charts.
• Support the creation, restructuring and dissolution of legal entities in partnership with Legal, Tax, Treasury and Compliance teams.
• Prepare and submit standalone regulatory reports (e.g., FR Y‑10, FR Y‑12, FFIEC‑030) and ensure timely filing with local regulators.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation and quality checks to guarantee the integrity of reported figures.
• Coordinate data collection with entity Controllers and communicate findings to business lines.
• Monitor regulatory changes affecting entity structures and recommend necessary adjustments.
• Assist in the production, review and filing of monthly, quarterly, semi‑annual and annual reports for various regulatory agencies.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of financial statements, balance‑sheet usage and regulatory reporting frameworks (e.g., Basel III/IV, CRR/CRD, IFRS, local GAAP).
• Experience with legal‑entity management and regulatory filing processes.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify discrepancies.
• Effective communication skills to convey financial information to internal stakeholders and regulators.

Required skills

• Knowledge of regulatory reporting requirements (FRB, Basel, CRR/CRD, etc.).
• Proficiency in data validation, reconciliation and quality‑check methodologies.
• Familiarity with legal‑entity hierarchy management.
