Experienced Accountant – Cost Reporting & Financial Management

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to own the reporting of costs, productivity, margins and expenditures for our organization. The role involves overseeing general accounting operations, ensuring accuracy of financial transactions, and supporting strategic financial decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Verify, allocate, post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
• Produce error‑free accounting reports and present results to stakeholders.
• Analyze financial information, summarize financial status and identify improvement opportunities.
• Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures.
• Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers.
• Participate in financial standards setting, forecasting and departmental goal setting.
• Prepare financial statements and budgets according to schedule.
• Assist with tax audits, tax returns and coordinate internal/external audits.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of proven accounting experience.
• In‑depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Awareness of business trends, especially in e‑commerce or logistics.
• Experience with TDS, GST, salaries, taxation and compliance.

Required skills

• GAAP knowledge.
• Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) and Goods & Services Tax (GST) handling.
• Advanced MS Excel, including VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
