Executive/Assistant Manager – Material Planner

About the role

We are looking for an Executive/Assistant Manager to lead the Shared Material Planning and Logistics Supplier Management team at our Sanand facility. The role focuses on long‑term material planning, supplier negotiation, and ensuring uninterrupted production flow.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the operative teams for Shared Material Planning and LOG Supplier Management.
• Set up and optimise long‑term material plans based on market forecasts, consumption and capacity, negotiating with suppliers for material preparation and capacity reservation.
• Manage second‑level escalations for supplier delivery issues, providing functional support to the PkP MRP planning manager.
• Own KPIs and targets defined by DC‑MH Central Logistics and drive continuous improvement.
• Lead material projects aimed at supply‑chain optimisation and enhanced supplier delivery performance.
• Oversee supplier agreements, including consignment stock, service agreements, lead times, EDI, TLV and supplier evaluations.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of team‑leading experience.
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Trading or Logistics.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, able to work under pressure.
• Fluent written and spoken English; German is a plus.
• Open personality, team spirit and proactive communication.

Required skills

• Proficient in MRP II and SAP (MM module).
• Experience with lean logistics, Pull System, Kanban and Supermarket concepts.
• Advanced MS Office skills.
