Executive Housekeeper

About the role

The Executive Housekeeper leads all housekeeping functions for a hospitality property in New Delhi, overseeing guest rooms, public areas, employee zones, recreation facilities and, where applicable, laundry services. The role focuses on maintaining high cleanliness standards, enhancing guest and employee satisfaction, and driving the department’s financial performance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily housekeeping operations, coordinating with Front Office to receive room lists, assign work, and ensure timely cleaning of guest rooms and public spaces.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and oversee ordering and budgeting for guestroom and housekeeping consumables.
• Implement and monitor inspection programs for rooms, public areas, recreation facilities, laundry, and grounds to ensure compliance with standards.
• Control departmental costs by reviewing operating statements, budget worksheets, and payroll reports, aiming to meet or exceed budgeted expense targets per occupied room.
• Address guest complaints promptly, embed guest‑satisfaction metrics into team meetings, and empower staff to deliver exceptional service.
• Conduct HR activities such as setting performance goals, recognizing achievements, and reviewing employee satisfaction results.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 2 years of housekeeping or related experience.
• Or a 2‑year degree in Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field (no experience required).
