Executive – General Ledger Accounting

About the role

The Executive – General Ledger Accounting role is responsible for managing core accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and supporting audit processes. You will work closely with plant user departments and the accounting manager to consolidate financial data and improve reporting efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Record general accounting transactions, including provisions and accruals.
• Collaborate with plant departments and the accounting manager to gather local data for provisions and accruals.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports in line with accounting standards.
• Perform ledger activities such as journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and ledger scrutiny.
• Handle fixed‑asset accounting and trial‑balance finalisation in coordination with the plant accounting manager.
• Contribute to internal and external audit support by providing schedules, annexes, and discussion points.
• Participate in process‑improvement initiatives to streamline reporting and consolidation.
• Maintain documentation related to financial reporting and consolidation activities.

Required profile

• 1 to 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Familiarity with financial reporting and consolidation processes.
• Professional certifications such as CA Inter or similar are preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems.
• Knowledge of SAP operations and Record‑to‑Report processes.
