Executive General Ledger Accountant

About the role

We are looking for an Executive General Ledger Accountant to oversee core accounting operations, ensure accurate recording of transactions, and support the preparation of financial statements in line with regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Record general accounting transactions, including provisions and accruals.
• Collaborate with plant user departments and the accounting manager to gather data for provisions and accruals.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports compliant with accounting standards.
• Perform journal entries, ledger scrutiny, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Handle fixed‑asset accounting and finalize trial balances in coordination with the plant accounting manager.
• Gather and consolidate financial data from multiple sources across departments.
• Support internal and external audits by providing schedules, annexures, and discussion points.
• Contribute to process‑improvement initiatives to streamline reporting and consolidation.
• Maintain documentation related to financial reporting and consolidation activities.

Required profile

• 1 to 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or related roles.
• Familiarity with financial reporting and consolidation processes is advantageous.
• Qualification: CA Inter or equivalent professional certification.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work in a team.
• Understanding of financial reporting principles and accounting standards.
