About the role
The Executive Director will lead the India business of a boutique market research consultancy. Reporting to the global leadership, the role oversees a team of 140‑150 professionals and drives revenue growth of US$4‑5 million.
Key responsibilities
- Identify and acquire new clients to expand market share.
- Develop annual strategic plans and budgets aligned with the long‑term vision for India.
- Own full P&L responsibility, monitor budgets, maximize revenue and control costs.
- Set and communicate organisational KPIs to ensure alignment and performance.
- Represent the company in negotiations with customers, government bodies and local authorities.
- Champion innovative research techniques to keep the firm at the industry forefront.
- Lead recruitment, retention and development of high‑quality talent.
- Oversee compliance with accounting, legal, health‑safety and equal‑opportunity policies.
Required profile
- Proven senior leadership experience with full P&L accountability.
- Experience managing large, multi‑functional teams (100+ people).
- Strong background in market research, marketing or business‑strategy consultancy.
- Ability to design bespoke, non‑standard approaches.
- Excellent communication skills for translating complex data into clear visual stories.
- Personality traits: curious, creative, communicative, collaborative, proactive, productive.
