Equipment Maintenance Specialist

About the role

The Equipment Maintenance Specialist will install, maintain, and repair internal factory equipment while supervising a team of maintenance and tool‑making staff. The role combines planning and execution of departmental operations with a focus on meeting quality, volume, and timeliness standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform breakdown and preventive maintenance on CNC machines, EOT cranes, welding equipment, shot‑blasting units, electric furnaces and other factory assets.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of maintenance personnel across three shifts.
• Manage spare‑part inventories, vendor development and record keeping in the CMMS.
• Plan and execute departmental operations, modify procedures when needed, and ensure compliance with EHS and electrical safety standards.
• Track and report Maintenance KPIs such as Uptime, MTBF and MTTR.

Required profile

• B.E. in Electrical/Electronic Engineering with 4+ years of experience, or a Diploma with 6+ years.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Proven ability to analyze problems, document solutions and manage projects.
• Experience with TPM, problem‑solving tools and basic nuclear safety concepts.

Required skills

• Siemens CNC 840 D‑SL programming and commissioning.
• Siemens S7 PLC programming and logic modification.
• Operation of heavy boring, milling, turning and gantry CNC machines (e.g., PAMA, HNK, Waco).
• Knowledge of field instruments: RTD, thermocouple, flow meter, pressure transmitter, proximity switch.
• EOT crane maintenance and fabrication shop equipment.
• VFDs, air compressors, utility systems, and power‑system networks (66 kV, 11 kV, 415 V) including transformers, circuit breakers and protection systems.
• Electrical safety, LOTO procedures, and CMMS record keeping.
• Familiarity with ERP/SAP.
