Entry-Level FF&E Designer

About the role

The FF&E Designer role is an entry-level position within the FF&E Design Department. The holder supports project teams by creating design sketches, preparing paint and fabric samples, and developing colour palettes, while assisting in the selection and design of furnishings, artwork, accessories and internal signage.

Key responsibilities

• Collect internal data and support client discussions to define FF&E design criteria, budgets and preferences.
• Develop initial design sketches, paint and fabric samples, and colour palettes for client review.
• Estimate material requirements and costs for non-complex projects.
• Refine selected concepts into preliminary and detailed designs, producing required drawings and reports under senior supervision.
• Assist in value-engineering activities and the selection/design of furnishings, artwork, accessories and signage packages.
• Prepare specifications for materials, finishes, lighting, flooring, furniture, fixtures and equipment for non-complex projects.
• Coordinate with other design disciplines (architecture, electrical) to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Support project managers in client communication, quality control, and the resolution of design conflicts during the supervision stage.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design or a related field.
• Strong graphic abilities ranging from hand sketching to 3D animation.
• Willingness to work on increasingly complex assignments and grow under senior mentorship.
