Engineering Team Leader - Mechanical

About the role

Husky Technologies is seeking an Engineering Team Leader to head its Mechanical platform team in Guindy, Chennai. The role focuses on driving innovation, quality, risk mitigation and customer satisfaction while delivering new machine platforms and critical service solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop a multidisciplinary mechanical engineering team, providing coaching, mentoring and cross‑training.
• Oversee the design, development and release of new Husky machine platforms and respond to critical service and customer support requests.
• Ensure delivery of products that meet business‑defined requirements and align with the Husky Operating model.
• Plan and schedule design activities to meet committed completion dates according to business needs.
• Enforce engineering standards, quality processes and risk‑mitigation practices throughout the product lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading mechanical engineering teams in product development environments.
• Strong understanding of platform design, innovation cycles and customer‑focused engineering.
• Ability to coach and develop junior, senior and specialist designers.
• Excellent planning and scheduling skills to meet tight delivery timelines.
