Engineering Manager / Team Lead – Hydrology & Drainage

About the role

Lead hydrology, stormwater, flood risk, and drainage projects across infrastructure, transportation, urban development, and water resources. Manage multidisciplinary teams, ensure technical excellence, and deliver projects on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities

• Direct hydrology and drainage studies, flood risk assessments, watershed analysis and hydraulic modelling.
• Oversee project proposals to completion, managing schedules, budgets, risks and coordination with civil, highways, water, GIS and structures teams.
• Mentor engineers and modelers, allocate resources, conduct technical reviews and support recruitment.
• Guide the use of modelling tools such as InfoWorks ICM, HEC‑HMS, HEC‑RAS, SWMM, MIKE11/21, Civil 3D and ArcGIS.
• Act as primary client contact, present findings, build relationships and support business development.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and environmental standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Water or Environmental Engineering (Master’s preferred); professional certifications such as PE, CEng, PMP or CIWEM are a plus.
• 10–15+ years of experience in hydrology/drainage, including 3–5 years in leadership or project management.
• Strong knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, storm‑water management, flood risk and watershed analysis, with advanced proficiency in GIS and Civil 3D.
