Engineering Associate – Maintenance & Facilities

About the role

The Engineering Associate supports the hospitality property by responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all building systems operate safely and efficiently. This full‑time, onsite position requires hands‑on technical work across a wide range of equipment and facilities.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate resolutions promptly.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen equipment, and mechanical‑room assets, including cleaning and lubrication.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, and machines; identify and operate shut‑off valves for utilities.
• Maintain maintenance inventory, requisition parts, and document daily activities for shift handovers.
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall, wood‑trim repair, and complete clean‑up of work areas.
• Test, troubleshoot, and repair plumbing, electrical components, HVAC units, and guestroom items such as TVs and lighting.
• Apply Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Carry out interior and exterior landscaping tasks, including sprinkler system upkeep.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies, reporting hazards or incidents immediately.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge or willingness to learn air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 lb unassisted.
• Strong communication skills for guest interaction and shift reporting.
• Commitment to safety procedures and professional appearance.
