Engineer – System Administration

About the role

Linedata is looking for a System Administration Engineer to join its global IT support team. The role focuses on providing L1 and L2 support for Windows‑based infrastructure, handling client queries, and participating in a 24/7 rotation to ensure continuous service availability.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows Server 2008, 2012 and 2016 environments on a daily basis.
• Manage and troubleshoot Microsoft Exchange Server (2003‑2016) and Office 365 mail platforms.
• Maintain Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, DNS, DHCP and related services.
• Perform mailbox migrations, mail flow configuration, and resolve DAG or database issues.
• Diagnose client‑side Outlook/ActiveSync problems and server‑side infrastructure incidents.
• Handle backup solutions including Unitrends, Veeam and Symantec Backup Exec.
• Document incidents, escalations and resolutions in line with company procedures.
• Participate in on‑call rotation, responding to emails and calls from customers.

Required profile

• Experience working on L1/L2 Windows server issues and client support.
• Ability to work in a 24 × 7 rotation and meet response time targets.
• Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting both server and network problems.
• Good communication skills for interacting with customers and third‑party vendors.
