Engineer Rolling Stock – K4

About the role

SYSTRA is seeking an Engineer Rolling Stock – K4 to support the General Consultant (GC) team for Mumbai Metro Lines 5, 7A and 9. The role focuses on rolling‑stock system design, review and detailed project reporting for a large urban rail network.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in design reviews and preparation of detailed project reports for rolling‑stock, power supply and traction systems on the specified metro corridors.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams covering signaling, telecommunications, AFC, RAMS and operations to ensure integrated solutions.
• Ensure compliance with Indian and international railway regulatory standards for AC & DC traction, third‑rail and overhead line equipment.
• Provide technical expertise in power supply, overhead line design and rolling‑stock equipment selection.
• Lead troubleshooting activities and support problem‑solving in an integrated project delivery environment.

Required profile

• Graduate or Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 7‑10+ years of relevant experience in railway or metro rolling‑stock projects.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a culturally diverse organization.
• Strong leadership, self‑motivation and the capacity to influence without formal authority.
