Engineer - FMS System Testing

About the role

The Engineer – System Testing will join a core validation team responsible for testing the Flight Management System (FMS), the central avionics component of an aircraft. Working under senior engineers, you will support the full validation lifecycle to ensure Airbus products meet safety and reliability standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in preparing and executing system tests on ground‑based rigs and virtual platforms to uncover FMS defects.
• Create, validate, and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency.
• Support analysis of flight data for FMS behavior and root‑cause investigations.
• Shadow senior engineers to learn test strategies, execute procedures, and compile certification evidence.
• Drive innovation in testing techniques, including automated, virtual, and big‑data analysis.
• Review and validate design documents such as System Description, System Integration, and Interface Control Documents.

Required profile

• B.Tech. or M.Tech. in Electronics/Avionics or equivalent.
• 1‑3 years of experience in avionics verification & validation or development.
• Strong foundational knowledge of FMS domains: flight planning, navigation, guidance, and performance prediction.
• Understanding of indicating & recording systems, guidance, navigation, and control.
