Embedded Software Engineer – Application Development & Customer Support

About the role

We are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to work on application engineering of Bosch Rexroth Mobile Electronics (BODAS) and develop control software for off‑highway machines such as wheel loaders, excavators and tractors. The role involves designing solutions, interacting with customers, and providing technical training and support.

Key responsibilities

• Application engineering of BODAS – Bosch Rexroth Mobile Electronics products and solutions.
• Develop control software for mobile machines using C‑compiler and CoDeSys IEC‑61131 tools.
• Design application solutions based on ECU, displays, sensors, joysticks and software modules.
• Engage with customers to gather and finalize detailed requirements and sign off projects.
• Prepare technical documentation following Bosch Rexroth internal processes.
• Deliver technical training to customers on BODAS products and system solutions.
• Define requirements for further development, bug fixing and feature integration based on project feedback.
• Commission and test solutions on customer sites and conduct field trials across India.

Required profile

• B.E. in Electronics & Communication, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electronics & Telecommunication or Mechatronics.
• 2–6 years of relevant professional experience.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C programming for microcontrollers.
• Experience with embedded software tools such as Matlab/Simulink, CANalyzer, ETAS INCA.
• Knowledge of CAN protocols (SAE J1939, CAN FD, ISOBUS, LIN) and diagnostics (UDS, KWP2000).
• Familiarity with EEPROM, SPI, FlexRay, Ethernet communication.
• Use of scripting and analysis tools like CANoe, CAPL, PERL.
• Embedded software debugging skills.
• Basic understanding of electro‑hydraulics (pumps, motors, proportional valves).
