Embedded Software Architect (ECT)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Embedded Software Architect to lead the design and implementation of high‑quality, scalable embedded software solutions. You will work within Bosch's Technology Powerhouse in India, shaping the architecture for connected products across multiple platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Translate business and system requirements into a robust technical architecture.
• Define end‑to‑end embedded software layers, including drivers, middleware, and application code.
• Design scalable solutions across MCU/SoC platforms, RTOS, and hardware abstraction layers.
• Specify communication interfaces and integration strategies for subsystems.
• Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards.
• Integrate connectivity modules such as RF and Wi‑Fi.
• Assess emerging technologies (AI/ML, GenAI, data platforms) to improve platform engineering.
• Lead architecture reviews, proof‑of‑concepts, and tool evaluations.
• Establish and enhance CI/CD pipelines for embedded development.
• Mentor development teams and support complex system‑level debugging.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience in embedded software development.
• Strong expertise in Embedded C/C++ and system‑level design.
• Hands‑on experience with RTOS, BSP, drivers, and low‑level development.
• Ability to balance performance, memory, power, and cost trade‑offs.
• Good communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
