Embedded Control Algorithm Developer – VM Brakes (ASW)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced software developer to design and implement embedded control algorithms for vehicle braking systems at Bosch’s Coimbatore development centre.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and integrate embedded control algorithms for automotive brake systems.
• Analyze sensor data and vehicle dynamics to optimise braking performance.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems and test engineers for software validation.
• Ensure compliance with automotive safety standards such as ISO 26262.
• Perform software testing, debugging and maintain documentation.
• Support calibration and tuning of brake control algorithms.
• Participate in design reviews and drive continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronics, Computer Science or a related field.
• 6‑10 years of experience in embedded software development for automotive applications.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and teamwork orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in C and C++ programming.
• Experience with MATLAB and Simulink for model‑based development.
• Knowledge of embedded systems and real‑time software development.
• Familiarity with vehicle dynamics, control theory and functional safety concepts.
• Understanding of automotive standards such as ISO 26262.
