Elementary School Assistant

About the role

Join a vibrant, co‑educational Jewish day school as an Elementary School Assistant. You will support teachers and students across kindergarten to grade 6, helping create a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in classroom activities and support diverse student needs.
• Supervise students during recess, lunch, before‑ and after‑school periods, both indoors and outdoors.
• Provide coverage for teachers during absences.
• Monitor the Pause Room and ensure student safety.
• Help organize and run school events.
• Participate in professional development sessions.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as assigned, with flexibility to rotate locations daily.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience working with children.
• Punctual, reliable, and able to work a full‑time 40‑hour week.
