Electrician – CCTV & IT Systems (Kolkata)

About the role

AVS Solutions is seeking a full‑time, on‑site Electrician to support its CCTV installation and IT hardware services in Kolkata. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical wiring and equipment that power surveillance and technology systems for both commercial and individual clients.

Key responsibilities

• Install and connect wiring, panels, outlets, and related infrastructure for CCTV and IT hardware setups.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and timely repairs to minimise client downtime.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, short circuits, and performance issues.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with local safety codes and regulations.
• Collaborate with the technical team on system installations and respond to service requests.
• Provide clear updates to supervisors and clients regarding work progress and issues.

Required profile

• Strong foundational knowledge of electricity and practical field experience.
• Hands‑on experience installing wiring, panels, and outlets for CCTV or IT environments.
• Familiarity with local electrical codes, safety standards, and proper use of testing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and installation manuals.
• Good communication and teamwork skills; willingness to work on‑site at client locations.
• Valid electrician licence or relevant trade certification is preferred.
