Electrical Technician

About the role

Volts Enterprise is seeking a full‑time Electrical Technician to join its on‑site team in Ahmedabad. You will support a variety of electrical projects and maintenance activities across industrial and substation environments, ensuring reliable and safe operation of high‑voltage (HV/HT) and low‑voltage (LV/LT) equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Install, inspect, service, and maintain HV/HT and LV/LT electrical equipment and systems.
• Diagnose faults, perform troubleshooting, and execute corrective repairs.
• Carry out routine preventive maintenance on power and lighting installations.
• Assist engineers and supervisors with testing, commissioning, and documentation of new installations.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and project timelines.
• Accurately record work performed and report equipment status.

Required profile

• Strong practical knowledge of electricity and electrical equipment, capable of working safely on HV/HT and LV/LT systems.
• Hands‑on experience in preventive and corrective electrical maintenance.
• Foundational understanding of electrical engineering principles related to installation, testing, and commissioning.
• Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or a related field; safety certifications are a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Good communication skills and willingness to work on‑site, including extended or off‑hours shifts when required.
