About the role
The Electrical Technician will support the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical systems used in home automation and home‑theatre projects. Working on‑site in client homes, the role involves reading electrical drawings, wiring devices and ensuring safe, reliable operation of lighting, power and AV equipment.
Key responsibilities
- Install, configure and commission electrical components, panels, breakers, switches, relays and control modules for smart‑home and theatre installations.
- Perform regular inspections, diagnose faults, troubleshoot wiring and circuit issues, and carry out corrective maintenance.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, layout drawings and installation manuals to guide work.
- Collaborate with project engineers, installers and other trades on‑site, coordinating activities and adhering to safety and quality standards.
- Document work performed, conduct system testing, and provide post‑installation support to clients.
Required profile
- Ability to perform electrical maintenance on residential systems, including routine inspections and preventive servicing.
- Strong foundational knowledge of electricity and low‑voltage control systems used in smart homes.
- Hands‑on experience with panels, breakers, wiring, conduits, switches, relays and control modules.
- Relevant technical diploma or certification in electrical engineering, electrical technology or a related field.
- Familiarity with residential wiring standards, safety regulations and the use of testing tools such as multimeters and continuity testers.
- Attention to detail, problem‑solving skills and a commitment to safe work practices.
- Capacity to work on‑site in client homes and communicate clearly with non‑technical stakeholders.
Required skills
