Electrical System Installation Engineer – PDI

About the role

The Physical Design & Integration (PDI) team is looking for an Electrical System Installation Engineer to support Airframe Electrical System Installation (ESI) and Mechanical System Installation (MSI) architecture and integration activities. You will work on concept and trade‑off studies, applying new technologies to improve aircraft definition.

Key responsibilities

• Perform concept and trade‑off studies for system installation.
• Apply new technologies to aircraft definition and propose weight, lead‑time and cost improvements.
• Ensure consistency between configured DMU and design intent for Airbus design teams.
• Network with Airframe, Systems and Cabin sub‑domains, including industrialisation and standardisation.
• Drive digitalisation ideas and report activities according to Airbus procedures.
• Travel internationally and collaborate in a multicultural environment as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor or Master degree in Aerospace, Automotive or Mechanical Engineering.
• 1‑5 years of experience in electrical system installation and configuration management.
• Strong communication, presentation and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, changing environment and lead cross‑functional teams.

Required skills

• Catia V5 for 3D model creation and validation.
• Mentor Graphics Capital Harness (advantageous).
• DMU understanding and navigation of product structure.
• Knowledge of aircraft build processes and basic aircraft systems.
• Experience with PDM/VPM tools linked to CAD models.
