Electrical Foreman

About the role

The Electrical Foreman will lead the installation, maintenance and safe operation of all electrical systems at a coal mining site. Reporting to mine management, you will ensure compliance with the Coal Mines Regulation of 2017 while supporting continuous power supply for mining operations.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee installation of electrical systems, ensuring technical specifications and safety standards are met.
• Develop and execute a preventive maintenance schedule for all electrical equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections, diagnose faults and coordinate timely repairs to minimise downtime.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with the Coal Mines Regulation 2017 and maintain accurate regulatory records.
• Lead a team of electricians and technicians, providing direction, performance feedback and training.
• Organise safety audits, address non‑compliance issues promptly and maintain documentation for regulatory submissions.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising electrical teams in a mining or heavy‑industry environment.
• Strong knowledge of Indian mining electrical regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Effective leadership and communication skills to manage personnel and coordinate with engineers.
