Electrical Equipment Installation & Maintenance Lead

About the role

The Electrical Equipment Installation & Maintenance Lead will drive the strategic installation, upkeep, and optimisation of all electrical systems at Hindalco's new Silvassa extrusion plant. The role ensures reliable, safe, and cost‑effective operations while supporting the plant’s high‑quality, low‑cost production goals.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, schedule and execute complex maintenance tasks, meeting strict deadlines without compromising quality.
• Develop and apply predictive maintenance models to anticipate equipment failures.
• Lead advanced troubleshooting of automated electrical machinery, collaborating with global experts when needed.
• Establish and monitor rigorous safety protocols, conduct regular audits and training.
• Forecast spare‑part requirements, manage vendor relationships, and negotiate terms to minimise lead times and costs.
• Prepare and control budgets for electrical maintenance, identifying cost‑reduction opportunities.
• Implement multi‑skilling programmes to broaden team capabilities and improve flexibility.

Required profile

• Proven experience in electrical equipment installation and maintenance within an industrial setting.
• Strong background in predictive maintenance, safety compliance, and budget management.
• Leadership experience managing technical teams and coordinating with cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced, highly automated manufacturing environment.
