Electrical Engineer – Bangalore

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design, modify, and troubleshoot electrical and electronic assemblies that support advanced semiconductor and display equipment. The role involves engineering analysis, test reporting, and documentation for product releases, while coordinating component procurement and supplier development.

Key responsibilities

• Design or modify electrical assemblies, layouts, schematics, drawings, or specifications of complex scope.
• Identify and troubleshoot a variety of complex electrical problems with limited supervision.
• Define, coordinate, perform and generate engineering test reports.
• Perform engineering analysis of difficult scope.
• Technically lead or execute engineering projects, including development of key suppliers.
• Implement concepts for complex product issues and electrical solutions.
• Generate electrical product specifications and review engineering documentation.
• Serve as a resource for junior colleagues and lead project teams as needed.
• Clearly communicate difficult or sensitive information and build consensus.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 4–7 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Strong knowledge of industry best practices and business drivers (preferred).
• Demonstrated leadership skills to lead small projects (preferred).
