Electrical Design Engineer

About the role

JKR Consulting & Services is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join its team for a landmark 2,500‑bed hospital project in Cuttack, Odisha. The role involves delivering comprehensive electrical designs that meet project requirements and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed electrical designs, including load calculations, single‑line diagrams, schematics and distribution layouts.
• Design and coordinate power distribution, lighting, small power, earthing and lightning protection systems.
• Collaborate with architectural, structural and MEP teams to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Review shop drawings, BOQs and vendor submissions for compliance with IEC, NBC, IS and client standards.
• Support BIM coordination and provide electrical inputs throughout all project stages.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in electrical design for commercial or institutional projects such as hospitals, airports, malls or high‑rise buildings.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes and standards (IEC, NBC, IS).
• Proficiency in technical documentation, communication and coordination.
