About the role

Unity Hospital in Mangaluru is seeking a full‑time Duty Doctor to join its multidisciplinary team. The role involves providing high‑quality clinical care across all shifts, responding to emergencies, and ensuring seamless patient management.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat patients presenting to the hospital.
• Document medical histories, prescribe appropriate medications and perform minor procedures.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and coordinate care with nursing and specialist staff.
• Communicate treatment plans and follow‑up instructions clearly to patients and their families.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure continuity of care across shift changes.

Required profile

• MBBS degree from a recognized institution and registration with the relevant medical council.
• Prior experience as a Duty Doctor or in a hospital setting is advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast‑paced environment.
• Strong decision‑making and problem‑solving capabilities.
