Dry Etch Equipment Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Semiconductor Equipment Engineer with deep expertise in dry etch tools to join our high‑volume fab. The successful candidate will take full ownership of equipment issues, drive fast recovery, and support preventive maintenance to keep production running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Perform basic fault recovery and preventive maintenance on dry etch tools to minimize downtime.
• Monitor tool performance, respond to alarms, and address abnormal conditions promptly.
• Support routine troubleshooting and escalate complex problems when needed.
• Document maintenance activities, faults, and corrective actions in accordance with SOPs.
• Identify repeat issues, conduct root‑cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes to improve MTBF.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and clean‑room protocols.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of hands‑on experience with semiconductor dry etch equipment in a high‑volume fab.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership of problems, and operate in rotating shifts.
• Strong understanding of SPC/FDC systems, alarms, and process limits.

Required skills

• Experience with tools such as Axcelis Fusion, LAM 2300 KIYO, Tel Unity SCCM ME, SPTS Rapier, AMAT Centura DPS, AMAT Centura MXP+, LAM 4400/4500/9600.
• Expertise in equipment troubleshooting, preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Knowledge of plasma, RF, vacuum, gas‑delivery, and related hardware subsystems.
• Proficiency in root‑cause analysis (RCA) and implementation of corrective actions.
• Familiarity with mainframe components, pumps, RF generators, matching networks, ESC, and MFCs.
