About the role
We are seeking an experienced Domestic Business Development Manager to expand our presence across the Indian market. The role focuses on identifying new opportunities, building strong customer relationships, and achieving sales targets within the plastics, packaging, and related manufacturing sectors.
Key responsibilities
- Identify untapped domestic markets, high‑value clients and new territories in packaging, plastic processing, FMCG, agriculture and automotive.
- Generate leads through cold calling, networking, referrals and digital platforms; develop a robust sales pipeline.
- Build and maintain relationships with procurement heads, plant managers and distributors to ensure repeat business.
- Prepare customized proposals, negotiate pricing, commercial terms and supply agreements.
- Develop and execute sales strategies, maintain CRM data and provide regular MIS reports, forecasts and performance updates.
- Coordinate with production, technical and operations teams to meet customer specifications.
- Travel extensively across India for client meetings and business development activities.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field (MBA preferred but not mandatory).
- 2–5 years of experience in sales or business development, preferably in masterbatch, plastics, packaging, chemicals or industrial products.
- Strong negotiation and communication abilities.
- Willingness to travel nationwide.
Required skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
