Discipline Engineer

About the role

The Discipline Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all engineering activities are performed in line with the development plan, internal and customer requirements, and economic targets. This role supports technical architecture, standards, and design reviews while maintaining compliance with standardisation rules.

Key responsibilities

• Perform activities in compliance with the Engineering Discipline Development Plan.
• Review internal requirements, customer specifications, and ensure alignment.
• Lead robust design and validation efforts to meet economic objectives.
• Support technical architecture and standards assignments.
• Follow standardisation rules and support design reviews internally and with suppliers.
• Handle design, integration, and validation of blocks or complete products as required.
• Comply with engineering discipline processes and design rules.
• Perform or support design simulations, coding, and validation activities.
• Conduct design calculations, worst‑case and statistical analyses, and assist with thermal studies.
• Execute or support engineering tests and manage follow‑up activities.
• Report task progress and escalate risks when necessary.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of engineering discipline processes and standards.
• Ability to work on design, integration, and validation tasks.
• Experience in reviewing specifications and ensuring compliance.
• Good communication skills for internal and supplier interactions.
• Proactive in reporting progress and escalating risks.
